Cudgen Headland Surf Life Saving Club
The Cudgen Headland Surf Life Saving Club was established in 1922 and over the years has had a long and proud tradition in patrolling, competition and community involvement.
At Cudgen Headland Surf Life Saving Club our Club’s purpose is to help cultivate and develop an active and healthy community. We have plenty to offer across many areas, from becoming a Surf Lifesaver or a Nipper, to Sport, Educations and Functions.
About Us
Cudgen Headland Surf Life Saving Club volunteer lifesavers patrol Kingscliff Beach from the first weekend of the NSW Spring holidays in late September through to the Anzac weekend in April, in conjunction with Lifeguards patrolling during the week.
Our Surf Club charter is to provide aquatic safety for Kingscliff Beach which allows families to enjoy their holidays and leisure time in safety.

EDUCATION
Learn skills for life
Surf Life Saving offers members a range of lifesaving awards. Some are required to perform certain roles within a club, and others are aimed at providing further development opportunities for our volunteers. Cudgen Surf Club offer the opportunity to undertake various training courses to give you skills for life.
SURF SPORTS
Test your skills and fitness
Surf Sports competition offers our volunteers the chance to test their skills and fitness against the very best lifesavers from around the country at various local, interstate and world carnivals. Surf Sports incorporates events based on the skills required on the job as a surf life saver from beach sprints to surf boats, boards, skis, pool rescue and ocean swimming.
NIPPERS
Keep fit and make friends
Cudgen Headland SLSC prides itself on its fun family environment where all kids have a fair go. Nippers is open to all kids between the ages of 5-14 years. Our goal is to encourage our Nippers to have fun and learn how to stay safe on our beautiful beaches as well as to provide the opportunity to train and compete in surf sports.
